Chloe’s freshmen year proved to be a major culture shock. The independent culture of living without parental supervision terrified Chloe. Shortly after the first semester, Chloe returned home, but things were not the same. Mrs. Park seemed to live at church. Mr. Park confined himself to the living room lay-z boy, unresponsive, his eyes stricken with sadness, glued to the television. Chloe’s broken home looked like hell compared to her dorm-room. Things began to brighten up her senior year. Chloe took a job at local fusion restaurant Cocina De Soul. There she met the mysterious emo-goth Donovan Humble. His sensitive approach drew her in, love was in the air. Shortly after, Chloe and Donovan’s love birthed their first born son, Conor. The couple hid the newborn for two months avoiding all contact with Chloe’s parents. Motherhood and work took a toll on Chloe’s studies, eventually driving Chloe to abandon her studies all-together.
